The Korean fox spirit stands out as one of the most intriguing and multifaceted creatures in folklore. Translating to 'nine-tailed fox,' this mythical entity embodies both allure and danger. The Gumiho possesses immense power and intelligence, gaining additional tails as it ages. Ours has seven tails, for obvious reasons...

We used several pieces of Korean artwork as our inspiration, from tigers for the Gumiho's markings to the waves found on the Irworobongdo (the artwork that sat behind the thrones from the Joseon Dynasty, as seen in 'Daechwita'). The red plum blossoms that surround our fox spirit represent the start of spring, resilience, and hope, much like our seven. In the Gumiho's maw, you'll find an Eunjangdo, a small knife traditionally used as a last-resort self-defence weapon in the Joseon Dynasty, especially for women. Norigae were sometimes attached to the handle of the Eunjangdo, so we took the opportunity to add a red one as a nod to our very own Arirang norigae, as well as our Agust D talisman enamel pin.

These traditional elements also reflect how Bangtan's culture has been woven through the promotions of Arriang. On the back, you'll find all of the announced tour cities, as well as lyrics from 'Like Animals' and an anatomical heart labelled with Bangtan's 7 tattoos in the Ursa Major formation.
